No doubt at all doubt that this is a Pitts Special. But it is not just your ordinary garden variety Pitts. It is a faithfully executed replica of "Black Magic", the third "Special" Curtis Pitts built. It was completed in 1951 for air show pilot Caro Bayley. Ms Bayley promptly won the Womens National Championship with it. A comtemporary of Betty Skelton and her famous Lil Stinker, they often performed at the same airshows around the country. Stunning in its simplicity, this is among the cleanest and best looking Pitts Special's ever.
