This speedy little Experimental homebuilt, built by the late Dennis Polen in the late sixties - early seventies, can top 320 MPH on only 180 HP. And, as far as I know, it still holds the closed course speed record for its class at over 303 MPH. Not bad for an airplane conceived and built almost four decades ago.
