View Full Version : AMA Controlling Bureaucracy
Horrace 12-07-2001, 02:57 AM Have you checked the latest new AMA Controls on the turbine fliers? If not go to www.modelaircraft.org, and check out the "What's New" section. Things are definitely getting tougher. Just how far will Big Brother be allowed to go before the tea gets dumped into the harbor?
I suppose the big majority election win for the incumbents means they can go for broke. Actually they are, but nothing got fixed with the ballots.

JohnVH 12-18-2001, 08:59 PM Yep, it definately sucks, what if your loops are not perfectly round?? Who cares. If you prove you are in control you should be able, besides, who approved the first turbine flyer before these rules????????????
Jackjet 01-08-2002, 08:25 AM Hi Pilots,
Now you know why I like to fly at the dry lake beds..............no rules/no bs-just common sense.......

woketman 01-08-2002, 10:12 PM I was TDY out at Lockheed at Burbank for a while in '85. I LOVED it out there. I had stopped flying R/C for a few years then, but was having the absolute best time of my life in the bars out there. There were SOOOOO many women and the absolute wildest I'd ever been with. I was 26 years old, making great $$$, and best of all very single! Ahh, the memories! I envy you guys out there for far more than just the lake beds! Now, back to our regularly scheduled R/C Jets program.

woketman 01-08-2002, 10:31 PM Too late. Too many babies, too many poopy diapers, too many commitments, too many debts. Take a hint here, you young guys. For you its not too late! Save yourselves!
I got waiver just in time, qualified May last year, I just got this years paperwork and the real concerning point is a qualified
Turbine CD instead of any CD, That is going to be a tuff nut to crack, ever talk to someone fitting that description???
JohnVH 01-15-2002, 11:08 PM I will be getting certified this year, got the people and classes lined out. Sure is a bunch of hoops! Oh well, rules are rules I guess.
