i used one on my mrbones w/ 270mah battery
it lacks power w that batt but would be good witha 150mah battery unless you go twin but I would us a edf 75 if you are concerned with weight.
what type of plane are yu building?

well if it is an a-10 it is a twin a edf 50 would suffice but if you want a more responsive plane I would go with the edf75. the battery is probably 7.2-8.4 volts you need to know the mah on the battery so you can decide on going with a bigger motor. if you have any questions feel free to email me at

don't worry about it kicking your butt. is this your first plane or electric?
we all start out as newbies. I have built a few planes so feel free to ask questions.

you need to look at your esc (speed control) and see the rating on it check for volts and amps. the amps will tell you on how big of a motor you can use. is this plane new or baught from a friend?

my esc says 30 amps on it. the edf 75's look to big for my A-10. it's 30.5" wing span by 29" long. I was thinking about using the 5 blade props for the edf 50's? I just found a web site for electric flight called balsa products. Thanks DOC.USN
