I'm in Ottawa myself and just getting into the hobby. I'm building my first plane a SIG LT-40. I'm planning on buying an O.S. .46 engine and Futaba 4 channel controller as I go along.

DaveT72....
If you're getting an OS46, I'd suggest the FX, not the LA. I had an LA46 on my LT40....at our field, which is surrounded by trees, it made take-offs a little more "interesting" than I really liked. If your field allows for nice gentle climbs though, then you might be OK with the LA

I am in Calgary but fly at at Chinook Winds RC in High River about 20 minutes sounth of Calgary. We have 2 grass runways, a E-W runway and a N-S runway. Both are over 500 feet long and about 50 feet wide. There are no obstacles in any direction for about 1/2 mile. The E-W runway has a flat clear view right to the mountains. Our club is too small to have an open funfly event but feel free to contact me if you are in the area and want to get some flying in at our field. Have fun, Fast!:D

I'm from Kelowna in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. I'm also building an LT-40 and plan to cover it in proud red and white with some maple leaf decals:)

I'm from St-Hubert Québec. It's in Montreal area. I fly at Marieville about 30 Min. from home.
We had good weather in March for flying from skis but now it's raining and muddy.

I fly with the Algonquin Areomodellers in Pembroke Ont. I'm currently the Club VP & the CFI. We have ~30 members & two active runways -- one of which (paved) will be abandoned for regular use in June, due to the encroachment of an adjacent gravel quarry.
