Hi, I'm new to RC and these forums.

I had a question. I currently have a Great Planes PT-60 trainer with a futaba 6chl computer radio. I Just finished building and installed the radio yesturday. Now I understand that if the servo wants to turn beyond the throw of the control serface or throttle you will get a buzzing sound in the servo that you need to correct before the servo burns itself out. What about faint vibration type buzzing in the middle of the throw? I had some faint vibrations like very quiet buzzing in the servo at different points of the movement and usually when I stopped and just let it sit there for a minute. But not always. Sometimes you hear it and sometimes you don't.

Also asking because a friend of mine has the Great Planes PT-40 trainer and he is having similar but more serious vibrations in his.

Can this be tension in the push rod or is some vibration type buzzing common?

You may get a buzzing sound depending on the type of servos you use however the thing you need to make sure is that the servos aren't binding at all. This is hard on the servo and will also drain your battery quicker. I little buzz will not harm the servos but make sure they are not trying to push or pull any surfaces futher than it wants to go freely...

The Pushrods should be able to move freely and easily. If they can't, what WreckRman just described will happen. Make control rod linkages as short and as straight as possible.

Most servos will make a buz, but not too much of a vibration. This can happen because they are working too hard, stalled out (can't move), and sometimes because they are getting more voltage then they were designed for.

If the control rods and move easily and the servos are working as they should, just ignore the buz.

well i am haveing the same problem but it doesnt sound good i can move the servos but they sound like they are binding but i keep checking and the seems to be no binding that i can see??
