I think I mighta' chatted with you online last night. I remember someone talking about a .40LA powered Super Sportster, maybe not. Anyways, that plane sounds like a nice one. If I were you, I'd keep ahold of it. Go down to your local hobby shop and see if they might have a .40 size trainer for sale on consignment. Sometimes you can get a real nice plane for little money this way. Also, you might check with your local RC club. You'll need someone to teach you how to fly for starters, plus a lot of times, club members have old trainers that they will sell for a small amount. If you acquire a trainer, take your motor off your super sportster and install on the trainer. Do the same with the servos, receiver and battery pack. This will save you big bucks and also save the Super Sportster for a little later on, when you are ready to give it a try.

Put your radio and engine in a Spad (or two, or three) and beat them up and have a blast and get real good...then when you're ready, put em back in the Super Sportster. Check out Spads here:

I don't know who kraut is but when you see a guy with a 4 digit AMA number you really need to listen to what he says.Chances are he's been around the hobby for a long time and knows what the heck he's talking about.

Well, im currently on Thunder Tiger Trainer 2000, with a PRO .46 (This engine had been crashed badly and had been salavaged) with my Hitec 455 servos. (Also had been been a bad crash).

My Trainer 2000 flys great.
