Just found a guy selling out his hanger and picked up this vintage plane. Has a super tigre sport .40 engine. Came with controller, starter, glow ignitor. Needs some holes in the wing patched but it seems in good shape. Servos all work. Paid 75 dollars for it. Can anyone tell me anything about this plane?

A picture of the plane would be nice so we can see what it is.

From what found on Google the T-40 is a trainer and about 16 yrs old. What kind of radio did it come with? And please post a picture of it before and after.

Found out that the manufacturer was a company called Marutaka from Japan. I guess they went out of business in 91.

These are a few pics of the 40T as I bought it. Was curious if I can get away with patching the holes or would it be better to re-skin the wing. I've never tried this befor but am interested in any comments to help me? Thx Stik

Just cut the covering back to the nearest good rib and patch it up stik :D. A trainer that looks in pristine condition hasn't been flown hard enough ;)

Stik:

I agree with merlin cut back to the first rib past the hole, I'd try to keep as straight a line as I could, like along the rib, and along the spars. When you go to pull off the covering go easy, It's been on there along time and might be stuck pretty good, and you might also find a broken or cracked rib you need to put a little glue on, and you don't want to yank it out and make it worse. If the covering sticks bad heat it a little with an Iron.

Is that supertiger off the 40 - t , is that what you plan on putting back on it. It's look's kind of gritty Which isn't a terrible thing as long as it's on the outside. Might want to take the back plate of, and check the insides before you turn it over to much. Looks pretty much just gunky, but it can't hurt to check.
