There was a 'team' that used to fly a pulse jet powered plane at the Woodvale show in Southport, haven't seen it for a few years though. Those things are louder than a very loud thing!!!

:eek:They are INAISNLY loud you ahve to remeber that these work off explosions its about 30 to 50 explosion per second.

now there is a local sottry abotu someone flying over a hen house and it called all the chickens in the barn from the sound that is insain.

One day i would like to maybe try and make some sort of muffler that would not interupt the puls cycle

This ia a Dyna Jet engine I've had since 1975. I only ran it a few times (it's redicleouslly loud) and never mounted it on anything. It's supposed to make 4.25 lbs of thrust and glows red hot. No throttle either just goe WFO till the fuel runs out.

Wanna Buy it?

I would love to see that mounted on a parkzone Fun Jet or something!!!!
I know it would never pass the 82DbA noise limit though
