Welcome to RCFLYING.NET!

I wish I had a decent relationship with my father so that we could fly together. This is a great hobby for a father-son team. To bad I haven't seen him since 1980. Oh well, welcome to the website and feel free to ask any questions that you may. If you want to start learning now you might look into the RC simulator games for the PC. These greatly help during the learning process and can also be a great tool to fine tune your flying skills...

Welcome aboard!!!

The Freedom .20 is a great trainer and all that I've seen flew great. They ae very durable and light. They are also a decent sport plane after you get bored with it being a trainer. Decided on an engine yet?

You can go to my website if you want to see the kinds of things I like to fly. I am interested in anything that flies so I really don't have a particular interest. Would you like to get into aerobatics or warbirds or anything like that? Even thought about that yet? You are going to love this great hobby and most likely become addicted to it just like all of us. You won't find a better group of people than RC'ers!

Feel free to ask any and every question that you have and there are tons of people here willing to help.

Have fun! :)

Good luck and happy flying!

If you haven't picked out an engine for the Freeddom plane yet then can I suggest an OS FX25. Ya they are a bit more expensive but it seems the smaller trainers are fine once they get in the air. The trouble is they have small wheels and have trouble gaining takeoff speed in tall grass.
With an FX25 you will still have a quiet engine but it will give you lots of power for its size! Also the FX engines are all great performers and easy to adjust. I have 4 different sizes and love all of them. :D

you know have the younger ones starting out with the trainer is what keep our hobby going. I know I started when I was 14 and going to be 40 this year. I have 9 planes the biggest being the sean tucker pitts challenger originally designed by the former Indy Rc owner here in Carmel Indiana. The plane was then distributed by Horizon Hobby then discontinued. Also Dave feel free to post the pic of it on here if u would like
