flew the a-6 intruder today. light winds 1 to 5 mph. loaded 8 d batteries into portable charger. battery is built into plane. not very convient as charge times are between 30 and 35 minutes. will have to find ways to replace batt. first flight gave full power, only 2, full and none. all of air rages rc seem the same. very underpowered climb. took at least 15 seconds to get to acceptable height. maybe 40 ft. plane flies like sailplane. power it up to height pulsing throttle, keepin throttle on to long results in a stall. in air it's very slow, not ducted jet performance in the least. looks very nice in flight. big fig 8's and circles of the field are as acrobatic as it gets. still it good cheap fun. clear skies and good flying

You know what Ken, I really like reading your (and others) flight reports on these cheap and chearful little lekkie planes. You don't have great expectations from them and you realise and understand their limitations, from this you give a good honest report and not just a "these are a waste of money, crap plane" type of synopsis of them. Thanks :D

flew plane today for about 2 hours today. lot of time wasted waiting for battery to charge. have to fix that. will try to open it up and see about making battery removable. this plane is not as serviceable as there b-2. rudder has nice strong servo and couple of holes to adjust travel. i set mine for longest throw company had smallest set. made big difference in handling. better sharper turns with less wing droppage. if this plane had elevators and a stronger ducted fan unit this plane could really be somethiing. will see about upgradability when i open it up.as it is still very inexpensive fun. clear skies and good flying

im still amazed by how tough these interactive toys planes are  . i was flying the a-6 when a particulary strong breeze caused me to tip stall :( . plane flew into chain link fence. and stuck like a dart in a dartboard  . after a little tugging plane was free. enclosed is a pic of damage. didnt affect flight characteristics in the least. i dont know if i will repair as i think it gives the plane some charisma  . im going to try to find the other planes they make and see how they are. flight time for battery are 5 to 7 minutes now after about 10 to 12 cycles. :D clear skies and good flying
