Hi guys

I havent been here in a while and was wondering if anyone here owns or is familiar with the Kamdax Mig-15. I have one thats Nitro Powered, but I want to convert it to electric. What would be the best possible set up to make it fly at top speed. The Novel notro engine is cool and all, but to me it seems to be way underpowered.

Can anyone here offer any assistance?:)

Can,t offer any options as I have one with the .061 glow powerd fan and have not gotten to it yet. Picked it up at a pylon event a couple of months ago for cheap (I think).

Have you flown yours yet? just wondered what makes you think its underpowered.

This is my fourth one so far. They fly really nice and all, but I've seen electric versions that are a lot quieter and will fly rings around the nitro versions that I've had. This one I have now is still in the box and I have done nothing to it yet, but when i do I really want to try the electric setup for this one. All I need now is to find out what engine, battery and ESC would be best for it.

Think you for the info, its good to hear its a nice flyer. I think I will just enjoy the glow version as part of the effect is that nice little high RPM recip.

Sorry I cannot help with any electric info as that is not normally my cup of tea. Just a though, if you go to website on the box it seems they included electric ducted fan packages separately for the airplane. Not sure but adapting a motor to the glow fan unit would require some modification.

I have an electric version. The best fan for it is the Wattage Power Fan. A good motor is the Rocket 3500 from www.stuffwelike.net . A thunder power 2100 3cell lipo powers it well.

It flies great under electric power. I just wish I had not dinged it in as the nose looks funny now.
